If one was to observe close enough, you’d see a few strikes of brown contrasting with Yuto’s natural black hair. People asked if he had deliberately dyed it this way, but he would only smile and avoid the question. However, whenever Ryosuke hears someone speaking about it, a smirk would graze his lips as he fully knows how Yuto had so-called ‘highlighted’ his hair.


“You’re changing your hair colour again?” He was sitting beside Ryosuke while their hairstylist started to prepare the colour dye. The older boy nodded his head though clearly stating to Yuto that it wasn’t his choice. Of course he knows that Yuto likes his natural black hair more than his brown one, and the taller boy has this idea that dyes will damage his hair, which was actually true.

With the hair iron still in his hand, Yuto used it to point at Ryosuke, “You do know that it would damage your hair right? Plus the amount of hairspray and the usage of hair iron.” The stylist was already spreading the dye on his hair, and Ryosuke frowned a little. No matter how many times he had done this, the smell of the hair dye always irritates him. He curtly nodded when the stylist was done and asked him to wash it off after a specific time. Yuto had dozed off beside him.

No matter how much Yuto was against him in colouring his hair, the taller would always stay by his side and accompany him. “Just so you wouldn’t bore yourself,” was what Yuto would always say. Smirking a little, Ryosuke pulled on the stylist’s glove, and dipped it into the remaining hair dye.

The smell of hair dye was so strong that it had woke Yuto up, and to his surprise he saw Ryosuke messing with his hair, spotting strikes of dye on his hair. “Ryosuke!” The said boy was stuck in his fits of giggle when Yuto had tackled him down onto the dressing room’s couch, though they were careful not to stain it with the hair dye.

“What are you trying to do?”

“I’m trying to make you see that colouring your hair isn’t that bad.”

He had pushed himself up to let his lips meet Yuto’s in a quick peck, “One thing’s that we’re sharing the same colour.” Sighing, Yuto had given up arguing with his boyfriend, and pinched Ryosuke’s nose, smiling when he hears a squeak. They’ve known each other long enough for Yuto to know that Ryosuke’s nose was his weak spot.

“Let’s just get the dye out of our hair already. The smell is kind of irritating now.” And Ryosuke had gladly allowed Yuto to pull him back up to his feet and into the bathroom.
