<< Chapter 5
Strong wind blew outside the house. Looking out of the window, his expression darkened.
The time had come. Slowly standing up from his sear, he left his cozy house and approached the town's high school.
"All students, please gather in the hall now. It's an emergency."
The announcement echoed through the empty walkways, and the students filed out of their classrooms slowly, moving towards the said-venue.
"Chi, you should restrict yourself." Yabu lectured as they met. Hikaru grinned at the younger boy's pouting face, thus earning a glare from Takaki. The others had also slowly gathered, and Inoo got a lecture from Yabu too.
Ryosuke had quickly excused Yuto and himself, grinning as he said, "We'll have to do a little preparation. For the show." After that, the pair had disappeared into the sea of students. Getting the hint, the others had also split up. Yabu and Hikaru following the younger two, while the others went along with the crowd.
In the hall, chattering of students could be heard from all directions. What was all the commotion about? Was the storm that bad?
All of a sudden, the lights went off. Everyone started to panic, until the soft music echoed throughout the hall. The spot light was turned on and revealed to the school, Yabu and Hikaru playing traditional string instruments. The music got louder, but no microphones could be seen near their instruments. Not to mention all the chattering in the hall.
On the stage, the spot light was on two figures, dressed in kimonos. Slowly, they moved gently and gracefully to the enchanting music. Every fluid movement made be these two dancers, captivated the students and teachers alike.
Thunder roared outside the hall, yet it doesn't seems to cover the soft and gentle music. As they looked into the eyes of the two dancers, they felt as if being pulled into another dimension.
Mio had now realised that the two dancers were actually the transfer students, Yamada Ryosuke and Nakajima Yuto, and she gasp in disbelieve.
Suddenly, the doors of the hall was forcefully pushed opened, and a voice boomed, "DON'T LOOK INTO THEIR EYES. IF NOT YOU'LL BE HYPNOTISED!"
Head turned, and the town's elder stood right before their eyes.
The music and dance had immediately stopped. The ten transfer students had gathered in front of the stage, Ryosuke and Yuto had managed to hop down of it, with the help of the others.
Slowly, the elder had walked towards them. Looking at the ten boys, a bitter smile hung on his face. "It's been a long time, Yuto-nii. Yama-nii and the others too."
Yuto's eyes widened, and scanned through the elder's face. A hint of sadness and nostalgia could be seen in his eyes, and Ryosuke stood beside him, hands interlaced.
Both of them moved forward, and Yuto reached out to touch the elder's cheeks, while Ryosuke embrace the elder.
"You've grown, Raiya." A smile appeared on Yuto's face, and tears streamed down. Ryosuke had let go, smiling at Raiya.
The elder of the town was Nakajima Raiya. The oldest person, and one of the people who was over a hundred years old. One of the people who really know what had happened a hundred years ago.
"Raiya ...?" Ryutaro had immediately rushed forward, hugging the elder. The rest had moved closer, smiling at Raiya. "Raiya, you're still alive! I missed you~!" Shouting at the top of his voice, eyes were all fixed on Ryutaro hugging Raiya. The others had smirked, as they saw the students and teachers looking at them with a confused expression.
"Of course I am. I look so much older than all of you now, even though, technically I'm younger." A series of laughter echoed through the hall. Then, realisation struck them.
"Raiya, where are
those jerks?" Chinen growled. Doors had immediately closed, with the flick of Inoo and Daiki's finger.
"They are somewhere, out and about." Raiya had frowned, and the doors opened again. A surge of anger went through the ten boys. Doors were opening and closing at high speed. The storm outside got bigger and bigger. A screeching sound could be heard, and with a punch and a kick, Chinen and Takaki had demolished the stage.
Ryosuke and Yuto looked at all of them, and calmly but firmly said, "Stop it now, all of you." Suddenly, all these destruction seem to have disappeared. The storm was still there, but smaller. Doors didn't move, and there wasn't any screeching sound. The demolished stage was standing again. Not a scratch could be seen.
"Those people are going to pay. For ruining our lives." Keito's face darkened a little more, and thunder roared outside. Ryutaro had immediately hugged him, whispering some words to him. It was then Keito was back to normal, and thunder stopped roaring outside of the hall.
The hands of Yuto and Ryosuke had never separated, and both of them said in sync. "Of course they would pay. They will pay dearly. We'll make them." A smirk formed in all of their faces, and Raiya could only shake his head.
The next thing that would happen would be unthinkable.
