<< Chapter 5
Walking towards his master, he placed a blanket over the taller boy, only to wake him up. "Done with your talk with Morimoto?" Yuto had rubbed his sleepy eyes, as Ryosuke nodded, looking down onto the marble floor.
"Yuto-sama, I'm sorry for requesting to talk to him. You can-!" Ryosuke was immediately cut off with a slim finger on his lips. A soft smile formed on Yuto's lip and he shook his head. Turning around, he left Ryosuke standing there.
Ryosuke moved his hand up to his chest where his heart was situated. The heart was pumping so quickly like he was running a marathon. Breaking into a smile, he muses that it was the first time his master had smiled at him like this.
He just couldn't help feeling this way, even after what had happened just now.
The door opened with a creaking sound, and turning around, Ryosuke saw Keito coming out of the library. "Ryosuke, you really forgot about me?" He couldn't say anything, but shake his head at the older boy's question.
The other boy shoved his hand into his pocket, bringing out a charm. It was an ordinary charm you could get at the temple, nothing special.
However Ryosuke's eyes widened, as he spotted his surname on it. Yes, the word "Yamada" was sewn onto that charm. It was the charm he was given when he was taken away.
Memories flooded back, of him passing that particular charm to a boy crying years ago. "You're that boy?" Those words just rolled out, and Keito had nodded. Taking a step back, Ryosuke couldn't believe it.
"Here, take it! Than you wouldn't feel sad anymore! Kaa-chan told me that." A chibi Ryosuke spotted another boy crying in the corner of the room. Being a sweet child, he passed the only thing that reminded him of home to that unknown boy.
"I'm Yamada Ryosuke! I'll see you again ne?" Flashing a bright smile, he ran away. "Thank you, Yamada-kun. I'm Okamoto Keito. I like you." It was only a soft whisper, left unheard, as the chibi Ryosuke had already ran out of the room.
Moving closer to his cousin's servant, he lifted Ryosuke's face by the chin, as he whispered, "Now, I should properly thank you for comforting me at that time." With that, Keito had closed the distance between them.
Soft lips were on his, and Ryosuke felt his breath hitch. It was different from how Yuto had kissed him. This was gentle and soft. However, something wasn't right. The sound of glass shattering could be heard, and Keito had immediate pulled away.
Standing a few meters away, Ryutaro stood there frozen in his spot. Coffee was spilled on the floor with glass shards glimmering in the sunlight.
"S-sorry for disturbing Keito-sama. I'll clean up and leave now." Picking up a shard, it was dropped onto the floor again, and blood trickled down Ryutaro's finger.
Keito had immediately hurried over, only to scare Ryutaro. "Okamoto-sama, please go after Ryu." Ryosuke bowed down, even if he knows that he wasn't in the position to ask Ryutaro's master for a favor.
Footsteps were heard fading into the distance, and Ryosuke say Keito chasing after Ryutaro.
A tear fell from his eyes, as he started to bend down and clean up the mess. He wouldn't want Yuto to be angry.
As he cleaned up, his mind wondered about the kiss Keito had gave him. All he knew was that he was shocked.
Although it wasn't unpleasant, it's wrong. With the glass shards in the tray, and his handkerchief stained with coffee, Ryosuke proceeded to the kitchen.
He would be heading there anyway. It's time for Yuto's tea. A faint smile appeared on his face as he remembered his master's soft smile. 'Yuto-sama should smile more. It fits him.'
