 "Off we go."

Hikaru had latched onto Yabu's arms, as they walked down the corridor. The pair didn't care about the stares they were earning because of that gesture. Hikaru has half-skipped towards their classroom, while Yabu just walked, trying very hard to stop Hikaru from skipping.

"Hachibee, don't forget our purpose here." In a serious tone, Yabu warned Hikaru about his current behavior. "Kota, there's no way I'll forget what all of us have to suffer. No way I'll forget."

Unseen by the students at the side, Hikaru's eyes were no longer caring and kind. Instead, it was filled with hatred and anger.

A smirk crept up on the pair's faces as they continue to walk.

"Yaotome Hikaru desu~! Nice to meet all of you!" A bright grin flashed upon his face, and Hikaru waved enthusiastically, ending his introduction with a peace sign.

"Yabu Kota. It's good to be here." Bowing a little, a gentle and warm smile was plastered on his face. Excusing both of them, they slowly made their way to the back of the classroom where there were empty seats there for them. Joining their tables, they sat down in union.

"Hikaru-kun, d-do you have a girlfriend?!" Minami Momoko asked in embarrassment, her face was painted a dark red.

Laughing slightly, Hikaru gave her a soft smile, "Un, I'm attached. Is that bad?" Under the table, he felt someone stepping on his foot.

"I wonder, Hachibee." Ohh, that sweet evil grin on Yabu's face. "Nope, it's good. You should know that Kota!"

Momoko's expression was like as if her world has just collapsed. Pulling herself back to reality, she felt a hand on her back.

"Ne ne, have both of you heard? The stories of the 5 pairs of star-crossed lovers." Kanou Miya had slung her arms over Momoko's shoulder, as her head pops out from behind of Momoko.

"E-ehhh? What's that about?" Seemingly being stiffer, Hikaru turned to face the two girls. Yabu looked on in interest. Under their tables, his hands held onto Hikaru's cold ones.

Miya told them about the third pair of star-crossed lovers, since that was the story that she liked most. Apparently, they weren't able to be together because of their heavy responsibility.

One day, the boy had to leave the town for a period of time. And that was the last time they met each other. Apparently, the girl had waited and waited, but when she heard that her boyfriend was killed, she had claimed her life through suicide.

A tear of visible in Hikaru's eyes, while Yabu seems to be angry at a certain thing. Hatred, anger, sadness. All was evident in both of their eyes.

When Yabu looked up, a dark smirk had surfaced, sending shivers down both Momoko and Miya's spine. "And do you think that the only thing they had to suffer?"

Hikaru stood up, sporting the same smirk as he spat, "In the first place, he wouldn't have to leave. If it wasn't for those selfish old men."

Turning around with their back facing the two girls, Hikaru and Yabu looked outside and saw black clouds gathering above.

"Just know this. It's just the beginning of the story of those 5 pairs of star-crossed lovers, or that's what you called them."

Hikaru had looked at both of them in the eye while saying that sentence. His eyes were like a deep, endless abyss. Darkness.

Yabu and Hikaru left the classroom without another sentence.

Breathing out a breath that they didn't know they were holding, both girls collapsed on the floor. "Momoko-chan, did you feel what I felt?" Miya was shivering, and she hugged herself, in an attempt to calm her nerves down.

"Yes. It was a murderous intention."

The beginning of their story? What had Hikaru meant? Ain't those people dead anyway. They must be dead, in one way or another. It has been a hundred years.

10 people. 10 days of commemoration festival. 100 years.

A clear voice of the crow echoed throughout the school. Momoko and Miya looked at each other, thinking about the same thing.

'Something is about to happen.'
