1.
Opening his English textbook, a white envelope was lying there, tugged in between the pages. His name was written on it in neat characters, and a small heart ended it.
A small smile grazed his lips, as Ryosuke opened the letter. The contents were printed in the person's neat handwriting. Sweet words of love and greeting. However, no name was written in the letter.
He had felt his heart skip a beat, as he hoped that the person he loved wrote this for him. Ryosuke shook that idea out of his head, knowing that it's probably impossible.
The letter was carefully placed back between the pages, as Ryosuke continued to listen to his English teacher.
After class Chinen went towards Yuto. "You gave him the letter?" A nod. "I didn't write my name though." Yuto's eyes lingered at Ryosuke's figure. "It's probably unrequited anyway."
A bitter smile surface.
2.
The next letter was silently and secretly slipped into Ryosuke's locker when Yuto went to the "toilet". This time, when Ryosuke saw it, a bright smile formed.
On the pink envelope, was the same handwriting. His name printed in those neat curves in ink. "It's strawberry scented." His statement came out in a whisper, and at his side, Yuto had a faint smile tugging on his lips.
At least all these love letters from him was making the older boy happy.
Even though the older boy doesn't know it's from him.
3.
There he was, sitting in the park. Children ran around, oblivious of Ryosuke seated at the bench. The soft laughter of them playing filled the air, as Ryosuke reminisced about his childhood.
"Onii-chan. This is for you." A boy, probably 4 years old, passed him a blue envelope. His name was written in that neat handwriting.
Smiling at the child, Ryosuke used a kind tone as he slowly asked, "Who gave this?" The boy only shook his head and ran off.
The same person that gave him the two previous letters. Ryosuke just smiled again as he read the contents of this letter. 'Who are you?'
Behind a tree, Yuto gave the little boy a lollipop before seeing the boy running to the swing set. He saw Ryosuke reading the letter, and his heart fluttered at the smile on the older boy's lips.
If only you knew, Ryosuke.
4.
"Yama-chan, there's a letter for you. It was on the floor." The white envelope was passed over to him by Yabu, and Ryosuke whispered his thanks to JUMP's unofficial leader.
The contents were the same, and as always, he had this warm feeling in his heart.
At the corner of their dressing room, Yabu only shook his head at Yuto for not confessing, and Ryosuke being oblivious about the sender.
It was obviously a love letter, seeing the heart shape stickers on the envelope.
5.
This time, the letter came in a different form. A paper plane flew into his hands through his bedroom window. Staring at the paper plane for a little, he looked out of his window to see no one there.
Slowly opening up the paper plane, the contents written was in that same neat handwriting. Only this time, it signed off as, 'Someone who loves you, since forever.'
The letter joined it comrades in his drawer and Ryosuke looked out of his window and into the starry night sky. Who is this anonymous person?
Out side Ryosuke's house, Yuto was hiding behind the tree when Ryosuke looked out. He quickly ran back home once he was sure Ryosuke wasn't looking anymore.
+1.
Ryosuke stared at Yuto's neat workings for the mathematics question. The handwriting. The mathematics question was all about trigonometry, and Ryosuke had cursed inwardly at all the formulas.
His tall friend saw that he was struggling, and offered to teach him. With that, Yuto had started to explain, while writing down some useful notes for Ryosuke.
Than, Chinen came and passed Ryosuke an envelope. This time it was red. Excusing himself a little, Ryosuke immediately took the letter out in front of Yuto and read the contents.
No doubt.
"Yuto-kun, did you write this?" A smirk surfaced on Ryosuke's lips as he placed the letter beside the mathematics notes Yuto had wrote for him.
It was the same neat handwriting.
The taller boy had immediately looked away, cursing that squirrel a little, for giving Ryosuke the letter at the wrong time. "Yuto-kun, suki."
Turning around, Yuto was met with soft lips of Ryosuke. His lips were tugged up into a smile in the gentle kiss, as he whispered, "I love you too, Ryosuke."
