Lying on his bed, Keito closed his eyes, as he listened to the soft pattering sound of the rain. The street was relatively quiet, as everyone had would rather cuddle together with their loved ones in their cozy homes.
It was all too quiet. His heart ached as memories flashed passed. The tears, soft hugs, gentle kisses, warm smiles. The room was filled with pictures, taken with his Polaroid camera that he had received on his 16th birthday. A present from
him.
Those were the frozen memories of his. It was when
that person was still ... Keito had immediately sat up, refusing to think any further.
The photo frame that was on his bedside table. Both of them were wearing smiles on their faces, smiling like they were the happiest people on Earth. It was taken by Yuto, when four of them went out together.
Four of them. Yuto with Ryosuke. Keito with Ryutaro.
Beside that picture of his and Ryutaro, was a group photo, kindly taken by a random passer-by. Yuto and Ryosuke was standing in the front, grinning at each other while poking each others' cheeks with their finger.
At the back was him and Ryutaro. Keito had hugged Ryutaro lovingly, and that hamster had an evident blush on his cheeks as he looked away from the camera.
A bitter smile surfaced on Keito's lips, and tears rolled down. How long has it been? Weeks? Or perhaps months. He had lost track of time, since it was something meaningless to him now.
Getting back to his feet, he grabbed a few things before going out of his room, his house. Once he had stepped out, he just started walking.
To the place where Ryutaro is.
"Ryu, sorry for not visiting often." He had stopped in front of a grave stone. On it, the kanji 'Morimoto Ryutaro' was carved elegantly on it. Rough fingers was met with the cold solid, as Keito slowly traced out the words.
A bouquet of white lilies were placed in front of the grave, probably from Yuto and Ryosuke. They were so close to the younger boy, and the sudden departure of Ryutaro had shocked both of them greatly, especially Ryosuke, since they were like brothers.
His scarf fluttered with the wind. This was the place Ryutaro loved the most. Seating beside the grave, Keito placed his stalk of white rose on top of it. "Ryu, I missed you."
The loneliness of his voice echoed through the opening. The temperature started to drop, as Keito started to write a note. He had decided. He wouldn't regret his decision.
Because he loves Ryutaro. "I'm coming, so wait for me Ryu."
The next day, the body of the 17 year-old Okamoto Keito was found lying peacefully against his boyfriend's grave stone. In his hand was a note.
"
Tou-san,
Sorry for leaving before you. I've decided. I wouldn't be able to live without Ryutaro. How he left, the memories haunted me. The pain just came every time I closed my eyes. The images of his blood pooling around his body, how I held him as I see his life fade away.
Sorry. As my last wish, can I be buried with Ryu? Thank you.
Your un-filial son,
Okamoto Keito."
When JUMP was informed of another lost of their member, Ryosuke had immediately collapsed into Yuto's arms, and both of them had shed tears in each others' arms. But somewhere, deep in their hearts, they knew that Keito and Ryutaro had been re-united, and were now in a place where they would be much happier.
"Ryu, I love you."
"You're an idoit, Keito. For following me. I love you too."
