A/N: Because I'm feeling all drama-mama now, this is just so dramatic. Though I have to say, I love to write fics that contradicts itself. In the content and title. Let me just say something, I'm currently writing without a plot in my mind.
Enjoy!
You can ignore this fic if you want because this part doesn't make any sense because I'm a little crazy.
When Ryutaro and Keito had stepped out of the room, Riko had immediately stood up and looked like a different person. Stretching her limbs, her gaze was different from a moment before. The girl who was shy and scared had none of those traces left in her eyes.
A smirk grazed her lips, and confidence was radiated off. “R-riko?” Yuto slowly walked towards his sister, and she hugged him. “Sorry for ignoring you for the longest time, Yuto-nii.”
It has surprised everyone in the room. Just a moment before, Riko was screaming when Aiko touched her, now she was initiating skin-ship with her brother that she hasn’t been speaking to for the five years. Why has this suddenly change?
Horror was in Ryutaro’s eyes when he saw Riko hugging Yuto as he entered the room. “STOP!” He had roughly pulled Riko off Yuto, and the girl fell heavily onto the ground. “Morimoto! Why did you do that?!” Aiko shouted, and went up to help Riko, but was only held back by Ryosuke.
“Ai, Ryutaro must have his reasons for doing this.”
Laughter echoed throughout the room, and they can see the hint of evil in Riko’s eyes. A totally different name was uttered from Ryutaro’s lips.
“Reiko.”

“You have to know this before going back.” Ryutaro looked at Keito as they stood in front of the vending machine.
“Riko has split personality.”
***
‘So this was what Ryutaro was saying?’ Keito thought, and he looked at how Ryutaro had the frown etched on his forehead. It had never occurred to him that Riko would have a split personality, until Ryutaro told him.
***
“Morimoto, what’s happening?!” Yuto had got into a state of panic, as he continued to shake the younger boy. Tears rolled down his cheeks, and soon, he felt arms encircling his waist, trying to stop him. “Yuto-kun, stop it.” It was Ryosuke, and Yuto just collapsed into the older boy’s embrace.
Keito’s heart stung a little, as he sees his boyfriend leaning on Ryosuke for emotional support.
Aiko had looked into Riko’s eyes, “What is going on Morimoto-san?” The younger girl just smirked. “Ryu wouldn’t dare to say it out, would you, Ryu?” Riko was back up on her feet, hands behind her back. Taking a deep breath, Ryutaro opened his mouth. “She has mental issues. Riko has severe mental issues.”
***
“She’s mentally unstable.” Ryutaro was leaning against the wall and he sighed. The older boy was beside him, and he took a sip out of his can. Ryutaro just continued.
“We were so in love back then. It was like the perfect life. Our families were supportive, we were model students, and it was all too good. Until something happened, changing Riko forever.” His gaze was cast on the ground, and clouds vapourised as he breathed out. “Her family was murdered.”
***
“Mental … Issues?” Aiko move a step back, as she stared deeply into the younger girl’s eyes. “You heard that right, dear Sugihara-kaichou.” That smirk on Riko’s lips had sent shiver down their spines. They could feel the murderous intent in the younger girl’s gaze.
“Ryutaro, technically, I don’t have mental issues.” She had turned around and looked down from the window. Below, she saw two boys finding their way to the council room. The murderous intent dropped a little, and something resembling a gentle smile replaced it.
***
“Why are we here Yuyan?”
“You’ll know soon, Chii.” ‘I’m so sorry for all these things you’ve suffered, Yuri.’
***
“What you’ve supposedly told Okamoto-kun here isn’t everything.” Both Keito and Ryutaro just stood there. Looking at the two boys standing there and not moving, Yuto and Ryosuke’s attention perked up. “What do you mean, Reiko?”
“That’s Riko for you, Ryu.”
“You’re Reiko, Riko’s split personality.”
“Sure, I’m Reiko. But I’m not. I truly am Riko. Takasugi Riko. And I do not have mental issues.”
‘Riko … Why was this name so familiar?’ It wasn’t because she has been in school. Wait, was she really in school? Why had they only noticed the bullying these days?
Ryosuke had looked at the girl closer, and he gasps a little at the resemblance. Seeing Ryosuke’s face, Yuto had also understood, hugging the older boy closer to him a little more, not caring if Keito was in the same room as him.
It had hurt Keito a little to see his own boyfriend hugging onto Ryosuke. Of course it did, however, he didn’t seem to mind. Somewhere deep in his heart, he knew that Yuto loved Ryosuke since long ago.
Wait.
Since long ago.
“Hajimemashite, I’m Takasugi Riko.”
Everything had just clicked together. All of them in the room knew Takasugi Riko.
***
The door opened, revealing two new faces. Or were they new faces? “T-Takaki?” Yuto uttered out, staring at the older guy. A grin was plastered on Takaki’s lips and from behind, Aiko spotted someone peeking out.
Her eyes widened, and tears were about to roll down her cheeks. “…Chii?” Taking steps back, she stumbled a little and fell onto the ground, and Chinen had immediately rushed in. “Ai, are you alright?”
“Oh gosh, it’s really you.” Chinen had hugged Aiko, and she just sobbed into the older boy’s shoulder. “Reiko, what’s happening?” Ryutaro had continued to look at Riko’s back view, and when she turned around to look at him, Ryutaro saw sadness in her eyes.
“Ryu, you really don’t remember do you? The others probably know who I am by now.”
“What do you mean?”
Suddenly, Takaki had laughed out loud, while he walked towards Riko, easily slinging an arm around her shoulder.
“What she means is that she’s dead. You don’t remember do you, Ryutaro?”
***
It was like as if a part of his memory flashed passed. What exactly has happened? “Ryutaro, Yuyan’s also a projection of my sub-conscious, you know that right?” At the side was Chinen still hugging onto Aiko. He didn’t understand. What was Chinen talking about? The Riko in front of him is just a projection from his mind?
Impossible.
“Ryutaro, it’s true. I just remembered why the name Takasugi Riko was so familiar.” He had turned around to face Keito, disbelieve in his eyes. “Ryutaro, it wasn’t just her family that got murdered. All of us knew each other long ago, where we just met each other casually in the parks. We were from different schools after all.”
“That’s how Yuto managed to know about Keito.” Ryosuke perked up, sadness in his eyes, his fingers fidgeting a little. “That’s how we all met. And Riko was tortured to death, all of us where kidnapped.”
“No, it’s not happening. NO!” “Ryutaro calm down!” Ryutaro was pulling on his hair, and Keito had immediately rushed up and hugged the younger boy from the back, restricting his movements. “Ryutaro, don’t do this to yourself, everyone was there. Chinen, Sugihara, Yamada, Yuto, Takaki, Me, You and Riko. Please.”
“Ryu, you know my death wasn’t because of you.”
Ryutaro had dropped to his feet, and looked at Riko, or in this case the projection of Riko. “Don’t worry, I’m something like a spirit in your mind, if you like to call it that way. And yes, it’s the real Takasugi Riko talking, not what you’re imagining.” The smile on her face was from the bottom of her heart. “I had to act like this, if not, would all of you in these positions?”
She was grinning, and everyone just looked around. Yuto still had his arms around Ryosuke’s waist, and there was an obvious blush on the older boy’s cheeks. Ryutaro had calmed down, and he could only conclude that he only calmed down because Keito’s hands were interlaced with his. Chinen and Aiko were still locked in an embrace, and now Ryutaro was looking back at Riko.
“What do you mean?”
“How dense can you get, my Ryu-chan?” She grinned at her supposed boyfriend. “You know that deep in your heart, you loved Keito-kun all along. However, you were in a denial and living in guilty, projecting me out. The others were affected by your emotions too, and Takaki and I had to block of that part of the memory for all of you to live on.”
Heaving a sigh, Takaki just pointed it out, “Don’t be dense. Live your life, and love while you can. There’s no point in deceiving. It’s like living in a true lie.” Slowly both of them began to fade away.
