Sitting up quickly, Yuto found himself drenched in sweat. 'Nightmare.' The time on his digital clock was now 4.a.m. Another hour before he gets out of bed.
His mind drifted back to the dream that he had, and unknowingly, tears started to fall.
Blood was splattered all over the floor, and in the middle of the room, lies his boyfriend's body in a pool of blood. A knife was in Ryosuke's stomach.
Yuto tried to scream, but he just couldn't find his voice.
What's with this dream? It had been the third night. Something just wasn't right. Yuto felt his heart sank, and a shiver was sent down his spine.
The next day, Yuto was greeted by a Ryosuke with sore eyes in front of the older boy's house. "Ryosuke, you're crying." The older boy had immediately hugged Yuto, burying his face at the side of Yuto's neck.
Strong arms encircled Ryosuke, and he started to choke out. "They found out ... about us. Yuto. My parents. I can't ..." He felt the taller boy flinched, and the hug tightened.
Rough fingers tilted Ryosuke's face up, and Yuto's eyes made eye contact with his. A small smile surfaced on Yuto's face, as he pulled Ryosuke into a kiss. "Let's run away."
It was than, everything doesn't seem to matter to Ryosuke anymore. What's more important than Yuto? He smiled into the kiss, and his arms wrapped around Yuto's neck, pulling the taller boy deeper into the kiss.
A loud thump was hear, and they broke apart. There, a few steps away stood Ryosuke's sister, with books scattered on the floor.
"Nii-chan? Yuto-kun?" Tears flowed and she had immediately ran back into the house.
Both boys ran into the house, only to face Ryosuke's sister, a knife in her hand. "Nii-chan, you knew that I like Yuto-kun. Why?" Her voice cracked a little. In her eyes, Yuto saw that she felt betrayed.
Everything suddenly happened in a flash. Ryosuke's sister had tried to cut her wrist, and the metal blade grazed her skin a little. The knife was snatched away, and somehow, she had stabbed her brother in the stomach.
The cold knife protruded out the other side, stabbing Yuto who was behind Ryosuke. Both of them fell back, with Ryosuke lying on Yuto, and his sister screamed. The living room. The sofa and carpet was stained with blood, and Yuto felt both of their blood pooling under his body.
"Ne, Ryosuke ... I dreamt of this scene. I love you." Ryosuke had boldly pulled the knife out, and his scream filled the house. He fell beside Yuto, and Yuto had caught him, pulling Ryosuke into a hug.
"I dreamt of this too. Yuto, I love you too. Why can't we be together?" A bitter smile hung on Yuto's face as he felt his eyelids got heavier. "I wonder why."
"Yuto, I wonder why good dreams don't come true."
"If they did came true, they wouldn't be called dreams ..."
With that, both of them laid there unmoving. Once again, screams filled the house.
