here!
Stars shinned in the dark night sky, and Ryosuke went up to the rooftop for some fresh air. The cool wind blew pass, and his hair fluttered messily with it.
Lying down on the roof, he felt his heart sank. Memories flooded back and he found tears streaming down his cheeks.
Clutching on the star necklace on his neck, and bitter smile surfaced. "Yuto ..."
His smiling face. His warm hugs. His soft kisses. His kind words. Nakajima Yuto was the first and only one that would have him. After all, Yuto was the first one who took him. Now that he's gone, Yuto had also took Ryosuke's heart with him.
Ryosuke just couldn't believe it. He could almost fell the taller boy beside him, whispering sweet nothings into his ear.
"Ryosuke, when I'm gone. Look up into the sky. I would become a star for you. I'll look at you from there."
The images of Yuto lying on the hospital appeared. With an oxygen mask over his mouth, and heavy eyelids. Tubes were protruding out of Yuto's flawless skin. Ryosuke remembered the younger boy's labored breaths in between his words.
However, the smile was always on the boy's face. Yuto had never shown Ryosuke that he was suffering.
"Yuto you idiot. Couldn't you tell me how much you were actually suffering?" Rolling on his side, he remembered when Yuto had given him this necklace.
He was sitting on the chair by Yuto's bedside. The taller boy had took a box out from the drawer at the side, and passed it to Ryosuke.
"Yu-!" Before Ryosuke could say anything, Yuto's index finger was already on Ryosuke's soft lips, and he motioned for the older boy to open it.
Inside the box, laid the exact necklace Ryosuke was wearing right now. When asked why did he buy that for him, Yuto just simply replied in his horse, "So you'll remember me."
Ryosuke had immediately threw himself onto his boyfriend, whispering 'I love you's, and 'You'll be fine's. He couldn't imagine life without Yuto.
And now, Ryosuke has his answer. Life without Yuto was pure hell. Everything he did had reminded him of his tall and lanky boyfriend. Standing up, Ryosuke went down and dash out of his house.
Ignoring the shouts from his sisters, Ryosuke just continued to run.
He had only stopped running when he was at the top of a hill, a little far from the roads. A lone grave stone stood there, as Ryosuke whispered, "Yuto, I'm here."
His finger tips grazed the cool solid, and he sat beside it. "I miss you, Nakajima Yuto."
Suddenly, he heard a voice far away calling his name. Eyes widened, and he traced the name on the gravestone.
Nakajima Yuto.
"Ryosuke."
There it was again. Only this time, it was clearer. It was
his voice. No doubt. His feet just led him on, deeper and deeper into the forest.
For once, after so long, he felt Yuto's presence. The warmth, the kiss, the touch. Above, stars were shining brightly.
When morning came, the Yamada household went into panic, as their middle son had disappeared. A shriek was heard, and following it, they found Ryosuke's older sister frozen in her spot. They were now on the hill.
A hill where a gravestone stood alone.
Only this time, they saw Ryosuke's body leaning against it. A smile was on his face.
A cut ran along his wrist, and on his other hand, was the star pendent Yuto had gave him. Mrs. Yamada had collapsed onto the grass patch, sobbing silently at the lost of her child.
Next time anyone walked passed the hill, a pair of gravestone stood there, tall and proud. They would be there for eternity.
In between the gravestones, a star necklace with faint blood stains linked them together.
They are Nakajima Yuto and Yamada Ryosuke's gravestone, and they'll be tied together, for eternity.
