here! :D
When Ryosuke and Yuto first met, they knew that there was some sort of connection between them. Like a thin thread of fate, connecting them together.
They first met when they were only 12 years old. Ryosuke was enjoying an afternoon after school at a CD store, looking for the album that his favourite band had just released. There, on top of the shelf, stood the lonely disk.
When Ryosuke stretched his hand to take the disk down, another hand reached for it at the same time. That was when Ryosuke first met Yuto. They smiled politely at each other, and the next thing they knew, they were sitting next to each other at a fast food chain talking non-stop. It was music that connected them.
It all came naturally for them. They were from different schools, yet they would meet each other and walk home together. They started to talk about things that did not involve music. They talked about their lives, their dreams and all the little things under the sun they found interesting.
When they got into secondary school, they look at each other in bewilderment, not expecting to see each other in the same school, much less the same class. They stuck to each other like glue, and every one said that they were ‘the most un-identical pair of twin in the world’.
“I’m leaving.” Was the only warning Ryosuke got from Yuto. In their second year of secondary school, Yuto’s family was migrating to England for an unknown period of time. Ryosuke just stood there, not knowing how to react. What went through Ryosuke’s mind was, ‘Was it the end of their strong connection with each other?’ He cherished Yuto as a really important friend. He did not want to lose this precious connection with Yuto.
He knew that the connection between both of them was different from him and the rest of his friends. There was come thing special about their friendship.
They didn’t meet by chance, but by fate. By the thin strand of thread that connected him with Yuto. Was it going to break?
Yuto left for Japan a week later, and Ryosuke didn’t have a chance to say “good bye”.
Years passed since Yuto left for England. He didn’t come back at all. Ryosuke did his best in his studies and went into his dream university in England.
It was an afternoon during May, and Ryosuke entered a CD store to browse for albums he enjoyed listening. There on the shelf, stood the disk that lead him to meet Yuto all those years back.
He then realised that the album’s name was actually ‘Connection’. He smiled to himself fondly as he reached for the disk. Another hand reached for it at the same time, and Ryosuke was overwhelmed by the feeling of Déjà Vu.
When Ryosuke turned, his eyes widened in shock. Yuto was standing in front of him, equally shocked. For a moment, they just stood there, and started laughing at each other.
They smiled at each other, and knew that the connection between them was indeed special.
